What I did
As Head of Digital for History Today, the world’s leading serious history magazine, I oversaw all aspects of the company’s digital department, including product management, content strategy and technical support. During my time at the organisation I built an online audience in excess of two million monthly users, launched social media channels with a combined reach of over one million people, led a small editorial team, developed an editorial content strategy to increase site traffic and brand awareness, and managed digital marketing initiatives. I also launched the History Today app, produced a monthly podcast, made online videos, wrote original content for the site and the newsletter, and project managed two major site rebuilds and the migration to a new CMS.
